Celebrated at Tahoe with the family this year (last years was in Myrtle Beach), Sage gets to birthday while vacationing. Thankfully, she loves it. This year she had very specific instructions for her cake - "a river down the middle with rocks and grass around it, cinammon rolls on top, and fish swimming in the river." I don't know where this idea originated. Seriously.
So we were ready to sing and have her blow out candles - all in a hotel suite with kitchen where she could see us making the cake - and she insisted on covering her eyes until the cake was brought in front of her. Silly girl. She said it looked good, except she wanted the grass to be around the perimeter of the cake and not right by the bank. Still she was happy and excited to be the party girl!
