independence day

Spent the 4th of July weekend in Lake
Cascade at the Beaufort's cabin. Maddie tried wake boarding for the first time and she almost got up! Uncle Chops drove up from Provo. Uncle Rich caught a large salmon that the kids watched being cleaned. Equally disgusted and fascinated, they watched the large eggs sacks pulled out and wrapped for future fish bait. Ike held the sacks and said "Awwwwww - the babies . . . Uncle Rich, don't ever catch a fish again." (I think Nadine captured a video of this - I need to get it, so funny) We boated and boarded and tubed. Marvin, Chops, and Uncle Rich caught major air and flew out of the tube . . . so hilarious to watch. The kids loved tubing - the little bumps they called popcorn - until the front of the tube pulled Ike and Sage under (because they were going so slow) and dumped them into the water with Auntie Na. Sage refused to ride again and Ike in the end said he loved being dumped into the lake (after he finished crying). I think Dallin enjoyed boating, although he cried when it was mom's turn. Smores, toasted starburst, and fireworks around the campfire = yum!

Looks like a fun trip! Kaylee loves looking at her cousins on your blog.
Our family picture was taken by my friend at the beach 10 min from our house.
