Sage turns SIX!

The birthday girl wanted a rock star party, ala Hannah Montana style. Even though she's maybe seen part of the show once, she wanted some glitz and also made sure that in all the games everyone was a winner. The friends arrived and were treated to a little do-up, then we played Walk Like a Rockstar (similar to musical chairs), balloon POP (tied a balloon with string to each leg and they had to pop everyone's balloon), went on an indoor treasure hunt, and pass the microphone (hot potato). Then it was food, cake & ice cream, and play time.

Maddie invited Hayden (a school friend) over to help rock out the party-goers in glitter, and a tasteful amount of makeup. They also turned out to be great game helpers, prize-givers, and singers. Thanks girls for all the help!

doesn't this picture crack you up? I just shot the picture... they posed themselves! What a fun group of girls - just the right amount of enthusiasm, personality, and playfulness. Sage loved the party and all the girls enjoyed it. Since Sage was home for the afternoon before the party, Sage helped with a lot of the prep work and commented, "Mom, you are doing a lot of work. Is it all for the party? {yes!} Oh, Thank you!"

what happens when a gaggle of girls giggle over gifts:

Sage worried there was no fun left for her REAL birthday, on Sunday this year. But we assured her there was - choosing the birthday dinner and dessert, games, more presents, and job-free all happened on Sunday!
