That afternoon we skiied at Tamarack Resort. I seriously love that place. The beginner hill is perfect in every way - they have the "magic carpet" right by the chair lift, and the whole hill is in view from the bottom. Not to mention the staff is incredibly nice and helpful and every time we've gone the weather is sunny and perfect. This was Maddie, Sage, and Ike's maybe third or fourth time this season skiing, and Dallin's FIRST!! Last time we were all here together at Christmas Eve and he asked and asked when he was getting HIS skis. So this time we tried it out. He went up the "treadmill" a few times with Marvin then wanted to go on the chair lift. But we wouldn't let him until the very end. He was the last ride of the day. Uncle Rich took him up and he loved every minute of it! It was really nice having Aunti Na and Uncle Rich skiing with us and helping the kids.

Marvin drove up a day early (Thurs night) with Uncle Rich to fish. They drove an extra two hours to Riggins early the next morning and spent from dawn to dusk outdoors fishing. Rain, intermittent snow, and all around cold (can you see the ice behind the boat) didn't stop them! Marvin caught these two steelhead fish. The kids watched with a mix of horror and interest while Uncle Rich expertly cleaned the fish.
