A Fourth Birthday for Ike

Ike started Preschool and turned four last week!
The big fun started in Primary when he was called up for the kids to sing a birthday song to him. . . he was unbelievably excited - jumping up and down with the biggest grin and stifled giggles. So giddy and cute. He loved it. Ike said he wanted "onions" for his birthday dinner but I coaxed "pasta and onions" out of him. He also wanted a "Cars" cake and settled for a wheel instead. We ate a double layer oatmeal cake with homemade strawberry jam between the layers which he proclaimed delicious. Ike was so patient opening presents and offering Dallin the chance to help, although Dallin took that to mean they were Dallin's toys. As part of his birthday since we didn't have a big party, the family went to an indoor play gym called Monkey Bizness - he tried rock climbing, a very high blownup slide, and lots of climbing around. As an aside, I don't know why the balloons look pink . . . they were more red in person.

Looks like a fun birthday! You have another one this week too! We have 2 of them next week. I think we'll just have one party for both of them though.
