Many reasons to be grateful this Thanksgiving; we feel incredibly blessed in all areas. One of which is splendid family. Grandma and Grandpa traveled all the way from Florida to spend a week with us, plus Uncle Chops and Mari drove up from Provo Tues - Sat.
HIGHLIGHTS ~
- turkey bowl, for which Marvin limped around barely able to lift legs for a whole week
- Hike to the Red Cliffs. . . you'd never guess it was there. We will be back to find the caves when there's more light. Ike kept repeating "this is a scary adventure..."
- serious black friday shopping (thanks to Uncle Chops/Mari for entertaining!)
- Blokus tournaments and staying up way too late
- Lots of food. . . we ate left-overs for a whole week
- book reading and bedtime stories by our visitors - the kiddos LOVED it
- Sage's harvest party - we all crammed into the Kindergarten classroom, along with other visiting relatives, to watch the kids dine on snacks. A grandpa pulled me aside and asked, "Is that your daughter in the brown dress?" "Umm, yes" (what did she do?) "She is so charismatic!" thank you?
- The girls earring shopping for each other. Unknowingly they picked out the same studs - an initial - for each other!
- learning secret recipes - homemade stuffing, chicken katzu
