Our apple tree produced a basketful this year; Ike and I had to rescue the apples from birds that started pecking and pooping on them.

I don't know if it's officially an Indian Summer, but it sure feels like what I imagine one to be... crisp mornings, clear blue skies, and weather in the high 70's and 80's. LOVE IT!! Maybe my tomato plants will actually get a chance to ripen. One day I hope we'll have a berry patch big enough that I can make jam from, as well as accommodate the pilfering fingers. I sneakily picked these while the boys played in the sandbox, snapped photos, and then they were discovered and instantly devoured.
