Ike has looked forward to the Preschool Fire Station tour, but the first attempt ended before we even walked inside - duty called and we saw the Fire truck speed away. A couple weeks later we tried again and the boys enjoyed the in-depth look at some of the cool tools (I personally would not have pulled out the chain saw with 20+ preschoolers, but it sure wowed the crowd!). Dallin tagged along with big brother - backpack and all - closely shadowing every move. Not sure how Ike felt about it, though, he acted partially annoyed and partially protective of Dallin. The next week, the whole family attended our town's Fire Station open house - saw the jaws of life convertable-ize a wrecked car, walked inside and out the firetrucks and ambulance, ate food, sat on a police motorcycle, and crawled inside a smoke house... we are now expert on all things fire truck!
