We packed up and drove home through the winter wonderland.

We found Santa's treasures left at home for us to see and then unwrapped our gifts under the tree.

At first Dallin refused to open any other presents, but once he saw his siblings having fun, he joined in. But he sat on top of this gift the whole time. When his turn came along (we open gifts youngest to oldest), he'd look me in the eye, "My turn now?" and then slowly open the paper... this was a long process. We had to really rush Ike along because he wanted to enjoy each one.

By the time we arrived home and opened gifts, the sun had nearly set without much thought given to a fancy Christmas dinner. So this year we enjoyed playing as a family and ate spaghetti and meatballs for dinner... which is what Ike requested earlier in the week, as it turns out! The kids acted so grateful and expressed many spontaneous and thankful comments on this day. I was so thrilled to hear their joyful gratitude. A merry memorable Christmas for us!
