a merry wedding

December in reverse continues... The Sunday before Christmas, Maddie, Sage, and Marvin participated in our Church's Christmas musical program. What a special treat to hear a little orchestra made of mostly beginners with a few high schoolers - several violins, a couple cellos, and one bass played Christmas songs together. I loved hearing the girls practice their violin songs. Marvin sang with the choir. We left shortly after the program for a quick Utah trip, we were there less than 24 hours this time. One reason we came was to attend Marvin's youngest cousin's marriage sealing in the Salt Lake City temple. With a few moments to spare we toured the visitor centers, in the above photo we chose Book of Mormons in various languages to showcase.

Dave & Claire are quite the cute couple and their sealing was amazing! I will always remember her grandpa's kindness counsel given during the ceremony. A Luncheon Reception in the Joseph Smith building followed with delicious food, a fun program, and we learned a lot about each of them. The kids loved playing with Marvin's cousins' kids (second cousins maybe?).

The incredible view from the Joseph Smith building. Inside and out are beautiful. Maddie decided this is the place for her reception. We hurried to drive home and get Marvin to bed for a Tuesday 8 AM patient.
